Class Description:
Join us for a fun day of sewing where you'll learn to create the trendy and versatile Atlas Bag, a perfect project for the intermediate/advanced sewist. In this class, we’ll work with vinyl, single fold, double fold and bias binding, and attaching zippers using two different techniques. The Atlas Zipper Case is the perfect quilted organizer to keep your items contained and organized. The inside includes two large slip pockets, one large zipper pocket, and two small zipper pockets that are great for storing sewing supplies, electronics, jewelry, makeup, art supplies, or everyday essentials.
Be Sew Creative will provide a kit which include the Atlas Zipper Case pattern, fabric, Soft and Stable, and a zipper.
Prework: Read through the pattern and cut/press/quilt all project pieces before arriving to class, including vinyl, bindings, and quilted panels. This will allow for more instruction time during class.
Class Supplies: Fabric (lining, main, accent, binding), Soft and Stable, zipper*, general sewing supplies to include but not limited to scissors, rotary cutter, needles**, thread, binding clips, seam ripper, marking tool, rulers, stiletto. Recommended sewing feet include edgestitch foot, zipper foot and ¼ inch foot. Optional: Hand sewing supplies if binding is to be completed by hand.
