Have you always wanted to learn how to quilt but weren't sure where to begin? Join Dyann for a fun, hands-on Introduction to Quilting Class designed especially for beginners!

In this one-day workshop, you'll create the beautiful Ice Jam Table Runner using a colorful selection of Moda Sitara fabrics paired with a soft ivory background. This beginner-friendly pattern is a wonderful introduction to quilt construction, allowing you to learn essential techniques while creating a project you'll be proud to show off.

Best of all, you'll complete your quilt top during class!

Dyann will guide you through the construction process, helping you develop the confidence and skills needed to tackle future quilting projects.

What You'll Learn

• The fundamentals of assembling a quilt top

• Working with precut charm squares and background fabric

• Basic cutting, piecing, and accurate seam construction

• How to assemble the Ice Jam pattern into a beautiful table runner

• How to prepare your finished quilt top for quilting

Once the quilt top is completed, Dyann will demonstrate how to create a quilt sandwich by layering the quilt top, batting, and backing.

You'll also learn about two methods for securing the layers before quilting: quilting safety pins and 505 temporary fabric adhesive spray.

Please note that batting and backing are not included in the class kit.

What to Bring

Please bring the following supplies to class:

• Sewing machine

• Neutral 50 wt cotton thread

• Size 80/12 sewing machine needles

• Seam ripper

• 6" x 24" grid quilting ruler

• Straight pins

• Rotary cutter

• Fabric scissors

• Pencil and notebook

• Lunch

Important: Please bring your sewing machine in good working condition and ready to sew.
